Allen Cox

Allen L. Cox, age 73 of New Lebanon, OH passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on April 1, 2024. He was born in Germantown, OH to the late Howard Cox and Geneva (DeHaven) Cox-Bailey and graduated from Germantown High School, class of 1968. Allen went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford and retired from the Montgomery County Engineers office where he worked as an Engineer. Allen enjoyed nature, being out doors, mushroom hunting and especially enjoyed hiking with and spending time with his grandchildren. Along with his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his 3 brothers Garry Wayne Cox, Winford Cox and Everett D. Cox, and his sister Linda Joy Leach. Allen is survived by his children Heather Cox and Andy Cox, his grandchildren Hadleigh Cox, Holden and Hudson Blacklock, his wonderful neighbors who were a great help during his illness, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11:30-1:30pm at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, funeral services will being at 1:30pm and burial will follow at Germantown Union Cemetery.
