Betty Maxon

Betty C. Maxon, age 90 of Germantown, OH and formerly of Kettering, OH passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2024. She was born in Lewisburg, TN to the late Leonard and Josephine Beard and graduated from Lewisburg, TN High School. Betty enjoyed watching the Reds and was a huge basketball fan, she mostly enjoyed watching college basketball and was always proud to tell people she was a State Champion of Lewisburg High School Basketball team. Besides sports, she always enjoyed cooking, being home with her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Glen Maxon in 2017 and her siblings Leonard and PeeWee Beard and Connie Cahill. She is survived by her children Deborah (Mark) Smith and Marcus (Debra) Maxon, her grandchildren Heather Smith, Michelle Stidham, Melissa (Amber) Smith, Krista (Nick) Alldred, Jamison, Jordan and Joshua Maxon, great grandchildren Isaiah Washburn, Alexis, Hunter and Austin Stidham, Kean and AnaMae Alldred, and great grandson Kingston Stidham. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 10-11am at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. Funeral Services will begin at 11am with Blaine Bowman officiating, burial immediately following at Highland Cemetery in Miamisburg.
