Billy Riley

Billy Ray Riley, age 79 of Germantown passed away on December 15, 2022 at Kettering Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Cincinnati, OH to the late William and Clara (Hensley) Riley, graduated from Germantown High School, class of 1962 and retired from General Motors. Bill enjoyed fishing and sports, but he especially loved coaching. Throughout his life, Bill coached his children and grandchildren in various sports in the community and his love for coaching and sports has been passed down through his family. With his dog and best friend Henry in tote, Bill rarely missed a sporting event and loved spending time with his family. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jayne (Barton) Riley, his son Doug Riley, son-in-law Brad Holland, and 4 siblings. Bill is survived by his children Debby Holland, David Riley, Danny (Sara) Riley, Dustin (Lisa) Riley, Dina (Mike) Gustin, daughter-in-law Karen (Gisewite) Riley, grandchildren Logan Riley (Corey Hall), Mason (Jake) Harshberger, Spencer (Noah) Vitanza, Taryn Holland, Georgie Wilson, Jocianna Post, Madison Post, Christian, Chandler, Noelle, and Noah Riley, Nicholas Riley, Chance O'Neal, Reese, Brelynn, and Harper Riley, Courtney, Kaleb, Kody and Kaylee Gustin, great grandchildren Caiden Conley, Annalynn Williams, Everleigh Wilson, Beau Harshberger, siblings Jimmy Riley, Carolyn Harris, Beulah Evans, sister in law Joyce Ney, brother in law Jeff Barton, sister in law Judy Riley, and numerous extended nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him and his kind smile dearly. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 4-6PM at the First Church of God, 760 Farmersville Pike, Germantown, 45327. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00am, burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.
