Carl Phelps

Phelps, Carl Dean, age 90 of Germantown passed away May 21, 2018 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born in Camargo, IL to the late Bud and Anna (Watkins) Phelps. Carl was a member of Minerva Lodge #98 F. & A.M. in Miamisburg and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Louise Phelps, his granddaughter Kelly Peyton, and 4 brothers, William, Cecil, Walter, and Daryl (Fuzzy) Phelps. He is survived by his sons Kenneth (Barb) Phelps, Donald L. (Laura) Phelps, Cecil R. (Susanne) Phelps, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren, one of them a very special great-great granddaughter Lilly Mae who loved to go visit him. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 1:00PM at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St. Germantown with Pastor Earl Wilcher officiating. Interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday beginning at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Germantown Rescue Squad.
