Curtis Shields

Curtis E. Shields, age 57 of Middletown passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 17, 2021. He was born in Dayton, OH to the late Curtis and Ronnee (Tufts) Shields, graduated from Valley View High School class of 1982, and was a US Navy Veteran. Curtis loved all sports, especially NASCAR and football.  He also loved his dogs, enjoyed music, playing his guitar, and riding his Harley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew David Inman and step-son David Perkins, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gail (Gebhart) Shields, step-son Joseph Perkins, sisters Susie (Rick) McGill, Tracy Shields (Rick Schuyler), brothers Tommy, Charles and John Shields, granddaughters Fiona Becker, Riley, Savannah, Rachel, and Remedy Perkins as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 7:00PM at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to cover the unexpected funeral expenses.
