Dolores Rauch

Rauch, Dolores Mae “Toady”, age 93 formerly of Trotwood passed away at Walnut Creek Nursing Center on May 2, 2017.  Dolores was born on Sept. 30, 1923 in Salida, CO to the late William McCain and Pauline I. Rupp and (Charles) Martin.  She married the late Robert F. Rauch October 26, 1940 and they were married for 60 years.  Dolores retired from Trotwood Madison Schools and was a lifetime member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in New Lebanon, OH.

Along with her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her daughter Mrs. Carolyn Ann Sommer, sons-in-law Douglas E. Slaton and Richard S. Neatherton, half-sister Sharon L. Waldsmith of Sidney, and step-sister Barbara Eyler of Dayton.

She is survived by her daughters Dixie L. Neatherton and Vickie L. Slaton of Germantown, and son-in-law Keith Sommer of Martins Ferry, OH, her 8 grandchildren Christine (Jeff) Furbee of Columbus, Michele (Jonathon) Turk of Mohawk, NJ, Julie Sommer of Seattle, WA, Robert (Bekah) Neatherton, Susan (Jeff) Cotterman, Joe (Sabrina) Slaton, Dan (Brielle) Slaton, and Ian Slaton; 12 great grandchildren, Justin Griffiths, Jessica and Jacob Neatherton, Jackson, Calvin and Carrie Furbee, Megan, Mitchell and Matthew Cotterman, Henry Turk, Braylon Miller, and Madelyn Slaton.  A host of other family members and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 12:00PM at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. in Germantown with Rev. Laureen A. Roe and Rev. Mark Williams officiating.  Interment immediate following at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:30am.
