Doris Slusser

Doris E. Slusser, age 91 of Middletown, OH passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2023. She was born in Cranston, RI to the late William and Myrtle (Carr) Murphy, loved to crochet and visit with her friends and family, and in her earlier years spent lots of time in her vegetable and flower gardens. Doris was a Jehova's Witness and she loved Jehova and her family dearly. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her children Dorthea Snapp, Robert Slusser, Jr., and Rodney Slusser, her sister Anna McGreggor and brother William Murphy. She is survived by her children Phillip Slusser, Roxanna Gearing, Iola Freeland, Ira (Deborah) Slusser, Fritz (Dana) Slusser, Victoria (Kenny) Ferrier, her brother Robert Murphy as well as her dear friend Fern Henry-Pearsons who was like a daughter to her, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 1-2PM at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown, OH 45327. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00PM and Doris will be laid to rest privately, next to her husband, Robert Slusser at Dayton National Cemetery.
