Dorothy Engle

Dorothy Jean Engle, age 80 of Franklin, OH passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023. Dorothy was born in Hazard, KY to the late Tom and Willa Mae (Fugate) Combs and worked at a nursing home as an activities director until she became a full time caregiver to her late son Ricky. Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, she also was a fan of Bob Barker and could watch the Price is Right endlessly. Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Vernon in 1991, her sons Mike (2009) and Ricky (2020), and her brothers Doug (2020) and Tom (2002). She is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Rick) Leach, granddaughters Jessica (Stephen) Poling, Jennifer (Josh) Campbell, Janella (Sam) Holtrup, Jordan (Jake) Alering, as well as 10 great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and dear friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 11am-12pm at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. Funeral Services will begin at noon, burial immediately following at Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin, OH.
