Linville, Dorothy M., 95, of Miamisburg, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on May 26, 2015. She was born in Dayton, OH to the late Bronson and Edna Moore. Dorothy was very generous to anyone in need and loved having people come to her home. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Ferry Church of Christ (now Crossview Christian), and Miamisburg Christian Church where she was a charter member, and was actively involved at Butler Springs Christian Assembly for many years. She was a cook at Miamisburg City Schools for 30 years, volunteered at Sycamore Hospital for 22 years, and was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club. Dorothy loved people and had a smile that would light up an entire room; she also loved the outdoors, camping, flowers, birds, playing dominos with her dear friends, and the Cincinnati Reds. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Albert Edward Linville, brothers Bronson Moore, Jr., Hugh Moore, and John Moore. She is survived by two children Dorothy (Dottie) Linville, and Susan (David) Black; two grandchildren Ryan Black and Natalie (Jason) Lee, two great grandchildren Jonathan Lee and Nathan Lee, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at Miamisburg Christian Church, 1146 Central Ave. Miamisburg, OH on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 12:00 with Jason Lee officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-12:00 at the church. Interment at Hillgrove Cemetery at the family’s convenience.
