Dortha Sears

Dortha F. Sears   age 86,   formerly of Farmersville, passed away Tuesday November 27, 2012 at the Otterbein Retirement Community in Lebanon. She was born in New Lebanon, OH the daughter of the late Claude and Neva (Stiver) Kurtz. She was a member of the Farmersville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Gerald Kurtz and a sister Margie Gephart. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Harold G.  Sears, son and daughter in law Chris and Joni Sears of Germantown, daughter and son in law Judy and Dave Strong of Venice FL, sister Joan Ward of Farmersville, 4 grandchildren: Jason ( Rachel) Sears, Josh (Candice) Sears, Ryan (Regina) Hynes and Todd Hynes: great grandchildren Anna, Cade, Dawson Sears, Mariah, Emily Hines. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 1, 2012 at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, Germantown.  Pastor Patti Matthews officiating. Burial Preble Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made Farmersville United Methodist Church or Crossroads Hospice. .
