Elmer Lee Briggs, age 85 of Franklin, OH passed away at his home on July 10, 2024. He was born in Farmersville, OH to the late Willard and Laura (Blossom) Briggs, and in 1975 started working for Bob Struck Service (now PI&I) where he just retired from a few years ago. Elmer was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps, was an avid sports fan, especially of the Bengals and Reds, enjoyed fishing, going to Myrtle Beach with his family, motorcycles, dancing, and going to the casino's whenever he could. Along with his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elaine Briggs, his granddaughter Jennifer Lynn, and his sister Eloise Briggs. He is is survived by his children Terry (Kristine) Briggs, Chris (Mel) Briggs, Tammy (David) Hanauer, and Andrea Thorn, his grandchildren, Taylor Briggs (Dani), Keely Briggs, Cameryn Briggs, Misty Hanauer (Zack), Jessica Thorn (Don) & Megan (Cody) Blackford, Jeremy (Paola) Briggs, Randall (Samantha) Briggs, Tim (Jennifer) Briggs, Zach Briggs, great grandchildren; Jayce, Caradee, Lynden, Emyrson, Huxley, Beau, and Murphy Jane, his sister Carol Briggs, brother Donald Briggs, and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 11-12pm at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home Germantown. Funeral Services will begin at noon with Rev. Frank Nation officiating, burial with military honors will follow at Germantown Union Cemetery.
