Eugene Forney

FORNEY, Eugene E. age 89, of Germantown passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 22, 2013, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Forney was a US Army veteran of World War II and worked for 36 years for the Pentair/Miami Paper Company in West Carrollton, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Germantown United Methodist Church and the Middletown Post of the American Legion. Preceded in death by daughter Kathryn Jo Burns in 1986 and by brother-in-law Durwood McPherson. Survived by wife Geneva (McPherson) Forney, whom he married October 31, 1942; son Dan E. Forney of Mentor, OH; grandchildren Matt Forney of Cleveland, OH; Alisa Forney of Chardon, OH; Emily Berry & husband Andrew of Germantown; Anna Studer & husband Douglas of Germantown; great-grandchildren Jessica Puzder, Gavin and Brooklyn Forney, Kathryn and Samuel Berry, and Lillian and Jonathan Studer. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, Germantown. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Germantown Rescue Squad. Interment at Germantown Cemetery.
