Evelyn Shock

Shock, Evelyn V., age 95 of Germantown, passed away July 23, 2016 at Sycamore Glen.  She was born to the late Edward and Josephene (Stroop) Swartzel in Germantown, OH, and was a member of Carpenter’s House Baptist Church.  Evelyn was the youngest of 10 children, who along with her parents preceded her in death: Clarence, Margaret, Estelle, Bill, Raymond, John, Emma, Mary Ellen, and Charles.  She is survived by her husband of 66 years Gerald “Dutch” Shock, her son Gerald (Carol) Shock, daughter Karen (Charles) Martin, grandchildren Carl (Tami) Martin, David (Katrina) Shock, Jeremy (Kelly) Shock, and 7 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St.  Germantown with Pastor Roger Green officiating, burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.   The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM.
