Flo A. Lakes

Flo A. Lakes, age 65 of Germantown, OH, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on January 29, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Floyd and Anna (Seaman) Hollenbaugh, graduated from Valley View High School and went on to attend Sinclair Community College.  Flo worked as an IT professional and besides work, she had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy and fulfillment.  Her hobbies included reading, cooking, gardening, and relaxing by the pool.  Flo also loved being outdoors and enjoyed traveling, camping and was always up for a walk or hike.

Flo's passing leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by her family and friends.  She is survived by her husband Terry Lakes, daughter Tiffani (Ben) Karacia, grandchildren Alison (Mike) Bowman, Caty Karacia and Tristan Karacia. Flo is also survived by her siblings Gayle, Keith, and Rodd Hollenbaugh and her father-in-law Delmar Lakes as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.  Preceding her in death were her parents, and mother-in-law Maxine Lakes.

To honor Flo's memory, a visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Germantown located at 79 Farmersville Pike in Germantown, Ohio. Following the visitation, a funeral service will follow beginning at 12:00 PM,  burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Germantown, or the Dayton Food Bank.
