Florence Schaeffer

Schaeffer, Florence L., age 92, of Germantown, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Heartland of Miamisburg. Florence was born November 14, 1922 to the late James and Grace (Walden) Ballinger, and was the oldest of 17 children.  In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband Carroll (Jim) Schaeffer, and 14 of her siblings.  She is survived by her son Daniel (Joyce) Schaeffer, James McPherson daughters Gail (Bruce) Wagner, and Thea (Hanson) Brown, brother Paul Ballinger, two sisters, Joyce Ann Shepherd, and Judy Blankenship, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and good friend Sam Savchak.   Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St. Germantown, OH with services by Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, interment at Germantown Union Cemetery.   The family will receive friends Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Heartland 3131 S Dixie Dr #208, Dayton, OH 45439 in memory of Florence.
