Fred E. Hurst, I
Age 92 of Franklin went home to Heaven Monday at Dayton VA Hospice. He was born December 30, 1920 in Wolfe County, Kentucky to Benjamin and Edna Hurst. He retired from NCR in 1975 and later worked at Hurst GM Center, Lebanon, Ohio. He was a WW II veteran serving in North Africa and Italy, 376th Bombardment Group.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother William Hurst, and great granddaughter Raleigh Grace Jeffcoat. Fred is survived by his wife, Betty (Roberts) Hurst of 67 years; sons Fred II (Carolyn) and David (Rebecca) of Franklin; 9 grandchildren, Angela (Dave) Lovejoy of Temecula, California, Ben (Stacie) of Mission Viejo, California, Darin (Allison) of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Brad of Franklin, Dan (Liz) of Franklin, Matthew (Maggie) of Lauderhill, Florida, Brandon of Kent, Washington, Clare (Ron) Jeffcoat of Richmond, Rhode Island; 16 great grandchildren.
Fred attended the Franklin Bible Methodist Church, 6000 S. Dixie Hwy., Franklin, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the church followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Grandsons Pastor Ben Hurst and Brandon Hurst officiating.
