Freda L. Hosler, age 97, of Germantown, Ohio passed away on March 4, 2020. She was born on June 15th, 1922 in Canton, Ohio to the late Edward and Cleo (Petree) Metzger. She was married to Leslie Bryan Hosler of Washington Court House, Ohio in 1946 until his passing on November 4, 2011. Freda was a lifelong member of Brandt Lutheran Church in Brandt, Ohio and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Germantown, Ohio where she served faithfully as organist and choir director. If something was needed in the music department she was always ready to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Freda's love of music continued into her 90's when she would play favorite songs and Christmas carols for her family. Freda enjoyed many years with Les gardening at their farm in Bethel Township and camping around the country. They especially liked to "snowbird" along the Rio Grande in Laredo, Texas with Les's sister Louise and brother-in-law Marvin. Freda loved all the family events and overnight visits by the grandkids. Freda loved writing and receiving cards and letters from friends and acquaintances. She was a lifelong Reds fan. She would catch every game and then follow up by reading Hal McCoys' rundown in the following days paper. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Bud and Donna Metzger, her sister Chris Clark, and sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Homer Sell. She is survived by two sons, Kenny and Karen ( McPeck) Hosler of Arcanum, Ohio and Gene and Susie (Clark) Hosler of Germantown, Ohio. She is also survived by a sister, Norma Wagner of Canton, Ohio and brother-in-law Ben Clark of Phoenix, Arizona, seven grandchildren and spouses, and twelve great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the following:
· Ohio's Hospice of Dayton for their support in keeping her with her family at home
· To Dr. Noel Watson and staff for their care
· To her church families for faithfully showing such love to Freda throughout the years
· To Freda's neighbors who loved Freda and Les and were always ready to lend a hand
