Geneva Irene (Daye) Black, formerly of Saegertown, Pa. Born May 24, 1908 to Edward and Margaret Jane (McKee) Daye of Polk, Pa. passed on to her lord and savior at the age of 104 years on November 30, 2012. Surrounded by her family. Mother Irene was preceded in death by husbands, Clarence Perrine, Albert Brown, Lawrence Brown and Roy Black: sons, Jack Earl Perrine, Keith Brown, James Brown and grandson Rusty Brown. Also daughters, Mary Jane (Perrine) Jones and son in law Jack Jones and Helen Joan (Perrine) Griffith and son in law Kenneth Griffith. Surviving Irene is daughter Shirley (Perrine) Burkholder and Duane D. Burkholder, also daughter in law Arlene Brown and Heidi Perrine, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. Irene worked 32 years at Meadville City Hospital and was noted as a great cook, seamstress, delicate hard work, assisting elderly friends and neighbors. Irene lived at Heartland Senior Residence in Miamisburg, Ohio the last 6 years of her life, attended church services regularly and will be greatly missed by her many friends at Heartland. Her family close or far visited regularly. Graveside services will be held Saturday December 8, 2012 at 10:00a.m. at the Saegertown Cemetery on Grange Center Road, for family and friends.
