George "Butch" McKinney

McKinney, George L. "Butch", age 55 of Germantown passed away April 16, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Dayton, OH to George L. McKinney of Germantown, and the late Lavonna (McClellan) Weinel. Butch graduated from Valley View High School, class of 1983, was an inductee into the Dayton Softball Hall of Fame, owned his own roofing business, and loved sports. He especially enjoyed coaching youth sports and was always involved in helping with fundraising events for sports or someone in need. Butch loved his family and friends, he had a heart of gold and was always ready to help someone out if they needed it. Butch is survived by his wife, Laura Lambert, his children Tasha (Mike) Townsend, Brian McKinney, and Keeth Mckinney, his sisters Melody McKinney, Shari Capone, brothers John Hunn and Joe Willie McKinney, his father George McKinney, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.

There will be a celebration of life on August 22nd at Crackerjacks, 8975 S. Main St.  Germantown, OH  45327

There will be a memorial ride from 2~4 then food, fun and raffle till 6 then the Buddy Myers Band will keep the celebration going till whenever

Butch loved coaching youth sports so part of the proceeds will be donated to that plus Hospice of Dayton was great to us during his illness so donations will go to them too.

Butch didn't want a funeral he wanted a party and that's what he's gonna get!
