James Keith Buehner, “Jim”, age 84 of Farmersville passed away August 11, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born to the late Benjamin and Nora (Dafler) Buehner in Camden, OH, a member and past elder of the Farmersville United Church of Christ. Jim was known in the community for his love of sports, in the Valley View School district he was a stadium announcer for many years, one of the founding fathers of the athletic booster club, and was a past member of the school board. Jim was a basketball referee for 44 years, was inducted into the Preble County Athletic Hall of Fame, and a season ticket holder for the Cincinnati Bengals since their inception. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters and his son-in-law Ted Sizemore. Jim is survived by his wife Betty (Burnett) Buehner; 2 sons Keith Buehner and Ted (Angie) Buehner, 2 daughters Robin Sizemore and Tabitha (David) Shuey; 11 grandchildren Allie, Max, and Claire Shuey, Brandon, Karli and Cole Sizemore, Ben (Jessica) Buehner, Teddy (Laura) Buehner, Samantha (Mitch) Howard, Kendall and Mackenzie Robinson; and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Farmersville United Church of Christ, 42 S. Broadway St., Farmersville, OH. at 12:00 (noon), burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-9 P.M. at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, Germantown. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Farmersville Rescue Squad.
