James Eugene "Junior" Eby Jr.

JAMES E. “JUNIOR” EBY JR., age 86, of Farmersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Farmersville on April 21, 1938, the son of Jacob E. and Juanita C. (Sears) Eby.

Junior was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Eugene “Gene” Eby; mother, Juanita C. (Sears) Focht and his step-father, Irvin L. Focht.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Deanna “Dee” (Essig) Eby; children, Shelly (Tim) McIntire, Shari (Chad) Ball; Jim (Tina) Eby and Sandi (Brent) Branham; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcy Boyer and Delores (Harold) Moses; step-sisters, Sharon Barnett and Suzanne (Tom) Russell.

Junior proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a dedicated provider for his family, retiring from Armco Steel as a skilled electrician. Junior loved his family, teaching them to work hard, play hard and live off the land. Every chance he had, you could find Junior hunting, fishing, farming, boating or caring for his dogs. He enjoyed taking his family on memorable vacations. Junior was also a member of numerous clubs and loved being with his friends at the Middletown Gun Club, where he could often be found shooting clays or participating in other fun activities.

Junior will be remembered by all for the sparkle in his blue eyes, the big love in his heart, his never-ending smile and his ornery humor.

A private graveside will take place with military honors in the Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Junior’s name to Care360 Hospice.
