Jeffrey Thompson

Jeffrey Scott Thompson, born on March 17, 1970, in Kettering, Ohio, passed away on July 30, 2024 in Brookville, OH. A man full of love for music, fishing, weightlifting, and cooking, Jeff also cherished the company of his friends, always ready to share a drink and create lasting memories with them. After 30 years of dedicated service at Synchrony Financial, Jeff's commitment to his work in the finance industry has left a lasting impact on those he worked with.

A graduate of Valley View High School, class of 1988, Jeff's passion for life extended beyond his professional accomplishments. He was a beloved son to Mildred Thompson and his late father, Donald Thompson, a cherished father to his children Gabrielle (Jordan) Burkitt, Jacob (Caitlin) Thompson, Joshua (Emme) Thompson, Jenna Thompson, step-daughter Alexandra (Jesse) Holman, loving grandfather to Jack Burkitt and Lincoln Holman, a caring brother to Suzanne (Ken) Oglesbee, Ted (Ann) Thompson, and his late sister Dawn Mitchell.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation at the Arpp, Root and Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown, OH on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 4-6PM. The family will continue with an informal Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at The Village Inn, 42 E Center St. Farmersville beginning at 11:30am.

As we gather to honor his memory and share stories of his generosity and humor, Jeff's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy of camaraderie and warmth continue to inspire us all.
