Joan B. Lansaw, age 92 of Germantown passed away peacefully at Sycamore Glen on October 27, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Middletown, OH to the late George and Gertrude (Selby) Kalbaugh, and was a member of Germantown United Methodist Church and in her younger years was an active member of the Germantown Historical Society. Joan was a generous and loving person, she enjoyed sewing and was an amazing seamstress. She loved spending time with her family and her motherly ways were extended to not only them but her friends as well. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ray Lansaw, daughters Gail Chmielewski and Leslie Brooks, son in law Robert Brooks, brothers Jerry Kalbaugh, James Kalbaugh, Charles Clair Stubbs Jr., and Robert Lee Stubbs. She is survived by her son Charles Edward (Liz) Lansaw, daughter Kristi (Jamie) Speck, grandchildren Eric Lansaw, Deanie Carlstrom, Courteney Huff, Ava Speck, Jack Speck, great grandchildren Steven Berry, Maddie Carlstrom, Tyler Kenyon, Jacob Lansaw, Sophia Carlstrom, Kelsey Huff, her sister Susan Stubbs Kiefaber and numerous extended family members and dear friends. Services will be private, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.
