Joe Johnson

JOE JOHNSON, age 73, of Farmersville, passed away at home on the farm on Sunday, March 2, 2025. He was born in Dayton on March 24, 1951, the son of Dick and Doris (Jacobs) Johnson.

Joe retired from the State of Ohio Department of Taxation after 30 years of service. In his free time, Joe enjoyed a round of golf with his friends, however, he was happiest when he was at home on the farm, working on an variety of different projects with his loyal dog Kirby by his side. Joe’s gentle, calm demeanor will be missed by all who knew him.

Joe leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Debbie (Bales) Johnson; “son” Scott Jacobs; “grandson” Jordan (Leigh) Jacobs and their son, Crew, along with his parents, Dick and Doris Johnson. He also leaves behind a countless number of nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends which he enjoyed spending time with. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Johnson.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1-5p.m. at The Village Inn in Farmersville, 42 E. Center Street

Joe’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the ARPP-ROOT & CARTER FUNERAL HOME of Germantown.
