John Cross

Cross, John D., age 56 of Centerville passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 15, 2021. He was born in Canandaigua, NY to John Cross of New York, and the late Billie Jean Ogden, graduated from Valley View High School class of 1982 and was a general manager for The GutterShutter. John enjoyed golfing, fishing and walking his dog Barkley. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns Fan but his greatest joy was watching his daughter Hayley play softball. Along with his mother, John was preceded in death by his step father Robert Ogden and his sister Susan Cross. He is survived by his son Connor Cross, his daughter Hayley Lewis, his brothers David Ogden (Sara) and Robert Ogden (Bryna), his dog Barkley and numerous extended friends and family who will miss him dearly. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 9:00am at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown with burial immediately following at David's Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice in memory of John.
