Joseph Lakes

Joseph David Lakes, age 6 of Germantown, OH went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2023. He was born in Dayton, OH in July of 2016 and was a first grade student at Valley View Elementary. Joe was strong willed, enjoyed playing with cars and his tablet but most of all, he loved his family. Joe was preceded in death by his grandfather Raymond Lakes, his grandmother Kristy Binion, great grandparents Little Granny and Clyde Binion, and his cousin Jessica Blackmore. Joe is survived by his parents Doug and Bridget (Binion) Lakes, his brothers Ryan and Matthew Lakes, grandfather Elmer Binion, grandmother Bobbi Lakes, Aunt and Uncle Jeremy and Becky Binion, cousin Jeremy Binion, Jr., Uncle Dale Lakes, cousin Fiona Lakes, and his Aunt Shelly Blackmore. Joe is also survived by his birth family, mother Alison Yount, father Art Yount, and siblings Mikie and Patricia Yount, grandmother Laura Hertzberg, birth family preceded him in death are grandfather Gary Hertzberg, and great grandmother Rennie. As well as a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 10am - 12pm at the Germantown First Church of God, 760 Farmersville Pike, Germantown OH 45327. Funeral services will begin at noon with burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.
