Joyce Zech

Joyce I. Zech, age 90 of Miamisburg, formerly of Germantown, OH passed away at Hospice of Dayton on April 24, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born in Germantown, OH to the late George and Flora (Boomershine) Kreitzer, and graduated from Germantown High School. A year after graduation, she married her late husband, Gerald Zech who was an Air Force Veteran. After she and Gerald were married they spent 25 years traveling the country with his different assignments. Joyce worked as a banker on the various Air Force bases they resided and was always well respected by her peers. Joyce was an avid gardener and supporter of her garden club for many years. She loved estate sales because of her interest in antiques and collectibles. Along with her parents, and her husband of 59 years, Gerald Zech, she was also preceded in death by her brother Firman Kreitzer, and 3 sisters, Pauline Phillips, Hannah Miller, and Alice Fox. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 1st, 2023 at 10:00am at the Germantown Union Cemetery with Pastor Jon Kibler officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Joyce.
