Katherine Penrod

Katherine E. Penrod,  age 97 of Sycamore Glenn and formerly of Farmersville passed away Thursday July 4, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Harley and Anna (Askins) Loy.  Katherine was a resident of Sycamore Glen for 16 years, a member of Germantown Emmanuel’s  Lutheran Church, Germantown Sr. Citizens and a Volunteer at Sycamore Hospital from 1997-2012. She was a former employee of Germantown Federal and McCalls. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank 1982 and sisters Mabel Heller and Marilyn Kerschner,. She is survived by daughter Joyce (Larry) Boomershine, grandchildren Amy (Mark) Cline, Annette (Randy) Dwire and Bradley (Debby) Boomershine, great grandchildren Justin (Stacy) Cline, Zachary (Lindsey) Cline, Heather Dwire and Hillary (Steven) Dursch: great great grandson Ethan V. Cline, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, Germantown, Pastor Michael Havey officiating. Burial Ellerton Cemetery. The family will receive friends 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. Tuesday (2 hrs prior to services)  The family wants to thank the Staff, Nurses and Caregivers at Sycamore Glen, Caring Sr. Services and Crossroads Hospice.
