Leslie Brooks

Brooks, Leslie J., age 62 of Germantown passed away July 30, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center after a brief illness. Leslie was born in Middletown OH to Charles Ray and Joan (Kalbaugh) Lansaw, graduated from Valley View High School class of 1977 and worked at Emmanuel's Lutheran Church in Germantown. Leslie spent 10 years in Arizona where she obtained a degree in Graphic Design, she was a talented artist, independent, quiet and never wanted to impose on anyone. Leslie loved animals and her favorite companion was her golden retreiver, Lucy. Leslie and Lucy were inseparable and traveled all over together. Leslie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Brooks, her father Charles Ray Lansaw and her sister Gail Chmielewski. She is survived by her mother, Joan Lansaw, brother Edward (Liz) Lansaw, sister Kristi (Jamie) Speck, step children Michele Ratcliffe and Robert Brooks, Jr., grandchildren Kari, Kayla, Kloie, Emilee, Sara, and Codie as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear friends. The family will hold a private graveside service but the Old Hippies of Germantown will be having a Celebration of Life at their September picnic and that date will be posted on their website when it's scheduled.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a dog rescue organization of your choice in memory of Leslie.
