Leslie Schilling Jr.

Leslie Eugene Schilling Jr., 80, of Farmersville, Ohio, died peacefully surrounded by family on March 22,2014. Born and raised in Farmersville, Leslie was a graduate of Farmersville High School, a United States Army Veteran, and a lifelong farmer who took great pride in his farm, family and country. He is preceded in death by his parents, Goldie and Leslie Schilling, and sister Virginia Rounds. Leslie is survived by his bride of 59 years, Doris Marie Schilling, and three daughters: Susan (Michael) Staigl of Miamisburg, OH; Lynda  (Tony) Baxley of Bladenboro, NC; and Donna (Clyde) Gallaher of Farmersville, OH; and five grandchildren: Ashley (Josh) Gallaher of Lexington, KY; Nicole (Phil) Gallaher of Boise, ID; and Bonnie,Megan, and Walter Baxley. A memorial service will be held at Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 North Main Street, Germantown, OH, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Friends and family will be welcome at 1 p.m. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Montgomery County WeLiket 4-H Club, in care of 1st National Bank of Germantown, 17 N. Main Street, Germantown, OH 45327, in honor of Leslie's love of family farm life. Special thanks to all the caregivers, friends and family who have supported the Schilling family during this time.
