Louise Nancy Dula, age 73, recently of Oakland Park, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2022 after returning to reside in Dayton, OH. She was born in Dayton to the late Alex S. and Margaret N. (Szenegeto) Dula and graduated from Belmont High School, class of 1966. Louie was raised in the Roman Catholic faith attending various churches throughout the country, and after high school for several years she was the drummer in the all-girl rock band The Bittersweet. Louie retired from the US Postal Service after four decades of employment and she enjoyed baking and cooking. Always an animal lover, she especially took pleasure in ducks, cats and particularly horses; she was passionate in photographing them. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her Aunts Betty (Ben) Zeisel, Helen (Bernie) Chandler, and uncle Joseph Szenegeto. She is survived by her brother Alex (Kim) Dula, Jr., uncles Andrew and Julius Szenegeto, her nieces and nephew Julie (Robert) Adamson, Tess Dula, Andy (Maria) Dula, cousins Jeanette (Jerry) Knazek, David (Barbara) Chandler, Ron Dula, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends. Louie was laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery & Arboretum in the Fountain Garden near the Goose Pond in Dayton, OH which she often visited when in the city. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 at 3:00PM at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown, OH 45327 with the Reverend Doctor Alice Kay Lovelace officiating. After the service people are invited to visit Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum to see where Louie was laid to rest.
