Gisewite (Daugherty), Mary P. Age 84 of Sycamore Glen Retirement Community of Miamis-burg, Ohio and formally of Germantown and Farmersville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, Au-gust 25, 2015. Mary was born in San Francisco, California on June 22, 1931, daughter of the late Kathryn and Dale Bauter. Mary was also preceded in death by her husbands Lloyd D. Daugherty and Glenn L. Gisewite, her son Scot D. Daugherty and grandson Brendan R. Daugherty. Mary is survived by sons Kent W. Daugherty (Sharon) and Todd D. Daugherty (Kathy Miller), grandchil-dren Patricia Daugherty, Adam Daugherty and William, Peter, Kate and Christian Daugherty-Miller and stepchildren Dan (Donna) Gisewite, Robert (Laurie) Gisewite, Glenn (Brenda) Gisewite, Kathy (Raymond) Hickox, Becky (David) Ewing, and Jeannie Milot. Mary was a member and officer of Eastern Star and Ohio Grange. She was a faithful member of the con-gregation of St. John’s United Church of Christ of Germantown and Slifer’s Presbyterian Church of Farmersville. Mary graduated from Parker (Patterson) Co-op High School, Dayton, Ohio. Mary was employed as a telephone operator at AT&T, as a telephone technician at Germantown Independent Telephone Company, and at the Dayton Blood Bank where she also donated over 100 units of blood and plasma. Mary also served her communities as a member of the Historical Societies and the Community Food Banks of Germantown and Farmersville. Mary was a found-ing member of Club 48 and a member of the Valley Gals Red Hat Club. The family would like to thank all of the care givers of Sycamore Glen Retirement Center, Dayton Hospice and Home Instead who provided loving and tender care for Mary during her final illness. Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, Aug 29, 2015 at St. John’s UCC, Germantown. The service will begin with Eastern Star rites. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the St. John’s Food Bank, 201 West Market Street, Germantown, OH or C.A.M.P. (Farmersville Food Bank), US Bank, 38 North Broadway, Farmersville, OH.
