Melody King

King, Melody A., age 62 of Germantown, OH  passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center.  She was born September 25, 1955 to the late Ralph and Lena (Swartzel) Bender.  She was part of the Germantown Cardinal class of 1973 and a proud member of the Germantown Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.  She also proudly served as a secretary for Butler Tech's Adult Education Program for 32 years and was passionate about the opportunities created by these extraordinary learning experiences and staff.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Dan King in 2011.  She is survived by her Daughters Jodi King, Jennifer (Michael) Jacob, Christa King, Angela (Ben) Cure, Hannah Hill, Leana King, Grandchildren Ralph Jacob, Reece Cure, Breana Jacob, Ryan Cure, Christopher Homan, Alex King, Sister Gloria Jeanne McGinnis and Brothers Jim, David and Harry Tapp.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 12:00PM at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St. Germantown.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM.
