Nina "Kathe" Pence

Nina Kathryn (Fidler) Pence, affectinately known as Kathe to all who knew her, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2023, at the age of 63. Kathe was born in Dayton, OH on May 29, 1959, to the late John and Lorraine (Myers) Fidler. She graduated from Miami East and Montgomery County JVS in 1977. After graduating she moved to North Carolina, Florida, Maine, and Pennsylvania, eventually making her way back to Dayton, Ohio, where she raised her 2 daughters. Kathe was a longtime member of Abundant Life Church of God and New Vision Church. She was a prankster and loved to laugh, but she also loved to paint, make jewelry, and do anything creative. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, 2 brothers, and 1 stepdaughter. Kathe is survived by her 2 daughters, Victoria (Jeremy) Powell and Cassandra McDonald; 1 granddaughter, Kyleigh McHone and 2 grandsons Alec Fidler and David Powell, as well as her stepmother, 3 sisters, and a gaggle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A reception to visit with the family and offer condolences will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 12:30pm at New Vision Church, 950 Helke Rd. Vandalia, followed by a Celebration of Life, beginning at 2:00PM at the church, with Pastor Darin Bolden and Michael Myers officiating.
