Richard Boyer

Richard L. Boyer, age 96 of Farmersville, OH passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024 at Traditions of Beavercreek. He was born in Germantown, OH to the late Clarence and Myrtle (Izor) Boyer, graduated from Farmersville High School, class of 1946 and was a veteran of the US Navy. Rich was a lifetime member and very involved with Farmersville United Church of Christ where he was on consistory and also was the treasurer for many years. He retired from DP&L after 40 years and enjoyed running, watching Reds baseball, and watching his grandchildren play football. Along with his parents, Rich was also preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Lois Boyer, his children Andy and Susan Boyer, and his brothers Robert "Bud", Ralph, and Bill Boyer. He is survived by his son Tim (Beth) Boyer and daughter Cathy Knapp (fiancé Scott), grandchildren Blake (Mariah), Cameron (Aleah), Jordan, Tyler, Patrick (Cynthia), Alan, great grandchildren Lexie and Gracie, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 10-11am at Farmersville United Church of Christ, 42 S. Broadway St. Farmersville OH 45325 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11am, burial to follow at Twin Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in memory of Richard to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, Farmersville Fire Association, C.A.M.P., or Farmersville United Church of Christ.
