Ruby A. Rieger, age 87 formerly of Germantown passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at Lamplight Inn of Dayton. Ruby was born in Sunsbury, OH the daughter of the late Cleveland and Elizabeth (Hopkins) Wilmot. She was a homemaker most of her life. She worked in the Tent Factory in Germantown during WWII while her husband Donald served in the Army in the South Pacific. She was a member of the Eaton Church of Christ and recently was attending Spring Hill Church of Christ in Middletown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Rieger, four brothers and four sisters and one great geat-granddaughter Holly. She is survived by her daughter Jean Howard of Franklin, three sons Monte (Connie) Rieger of West Alexandria, Barry (Teresa) Rieger of Farmersville, and Michael (Debbie) Rieger of Germantown, twenty two grand children, 46 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, two sisters Donna Roby of Florida and Martha Gabbard of Eaton, three brothers James Cornett of Indiana, Earl Wilmot of Middletown, and Franklin Wilmot of Eaton and numerous nieces, nephew and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Spring Hill Church of Christ, 2021 Brell Dr. Middletown, OH. Pastor Robert Stacy officiating, burial in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis. The family will receive friends 9 a.m. Monday until time of service (2 hrs. prior) at the Church. The family suggest if desired memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
