Sarah Abner

Sarah (Witt) Abner- 63, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 in Kettering, OH. She was born to the late William (Sr.) and Dora Witt in Miami Township, OH on June 21, 1961. Sarah graduated from Carlisle High School in 1979 and graduated nursing school at the University of Kentucky in 1991. She loved the outdoors and was especially fond of the mountains. Along with the outdoors, Sarah loved exploring flea markets and thrift shops, and crafting things by hand. She had a true loving heart for the elderly, though her highest priority was always her family, and her love and devotion for them was strong.

Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, William II, Richard, Ronald, and George Witt, and her sisters, Connie Rice and Mary Steele. Sarah is survived by her husband, Jerry, her daughters, Toni (John) Hansen and Samantha (Brad) Matosky, and granddaughters, Haley Wilson and Mattie Abner, her brothers, Orvil and Randy (Connie) Witt, her sisters, Marge (Wayne) Wallace and Yvonne Sams.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at Arpp, Root and Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St, Germantown. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 11, 2025 beginning at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for trees to be planted in Sarah's memory.
