Shane Velte

Shane Andrew Velte, age 28 of Germantown passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2019. He was born in Dayton, OH to Todd and Melanie (Gillespie) Velte, graduated from Valley View High School in 2010 and was an HVAC technician for Airtron Heating & Air. Shane was a member of The Jordan Church and was a tenderhearted person with an infectious laugh and kind soul. He loved his dog Rudy, as well as any other dog he came across and would do anything to help anyone who asked. Shane was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gary Gillespie, his paternal grandmother Lois Warrick, step grandfather Ronald Warrick, and his aunt Kim Steinmetz. Along with his parents he is survived by his brother Derrick (Courtnie) Velte, his sister Kara (Bradley Lewis) Velte, maternal grandmother Marty Gillespie, paternal grandfather David Velte, his nieces Avah, Skye and Lily Velte, his uncle Shawn Gillespie, aunts Kristie Hill and Misty (Justin) Lang, his cousins Scott Gillespie, Zach Steinmetz, Ashley Steinmetz, Christopher Banks, Teddi Collins, Sarah Hill, and Elizabeth Hill. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 10:00am at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 820 Central Ave., Carlisle, OH 45005 with his father Todd Velte officiating. Interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 5:00-8:00PM at the church.
