Shirley Stump

Shirley Stump, age 85 of Germantown OH, peacefully took her last breath on November 28, 2023. The world became a brighter place on June 13, 1938 as the sun rose and Shirley was born to the late Everett and Vena (Deaton) Turner in Altro, KY.

Shirley lived a long full life, she was quite spunky and was high on life as she would say! She was headstrong, determined and stubborn and although she was faced with a lot of loss in her life, she always had a beautiful smile and positive attitude!

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first Husband Lester "Bill" King, her 2 week old baby Richard "Ricky" Eugene King, her husband of 47 years, James (Jim) Stump, sisters Susan Turner, Midge Lee, Joyce Estep, and Marjorie Hammock.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Leesa (Kenneth) Gordon, son Michael (Terri) King, stepdaughter Connie Young, granddaughter Kenzi (Brandon) James, grandsons Blake Bachert, Jason (Kassia) King, Justin (Tonya) King, step grandson Philip Young & great grandchildren Arianna King and Evan King. Many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, health aides and neighbors who will remember her fondly, yet miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 12-1pm at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown, OH 45327. Funeral services will begin at 1PM, with burial immediately following at Highland Cemetery in Miamisburg.
