Tom Keener

Clarence Thomas Keener, Jr., affectionately known as "Tom", age 72 of Franklin, OH, passed away peacefully at Kettering Hospital on September 14, 2024. He was born on November 25, 1951 in Dayton, OH to the late Clarence Thomas Keener, Sr. and Martha (Jacobs) Keener. Tom graduated from Fairmont East High School, class of 1970 and worked as a plant manager for many years at Kadon before retiring in 2017 to enjoy time with his family. Tom enjoyed playing baseball, coaching and watching his children and grandchildren through numerous sporting events, and cruising at every opportunity. Along with his parents, Tom was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Arya Adae. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Brown) Keener, his children Matthew Keener, Megan (Nathan Sr) Tirey, David (Debora) Adae, Jr., his grandchildren Victoria and Nathan Tirey, Jr., Aliahnna, Elainnah, and Evabelle Adae, his sister Lori (Barry) Roe, niece Nicole (Bryan) Stubbs, and nephew Josh (Emily) Roe, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10:00am at the Arpp, Root and Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown OH, burial immediately following at Bear Creek-Hillgrove Cemetery on Union Rd. in Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 5-7pm.
