Rickert, Walter “Dale”, age 77 of Germantown passed away May 13, 2016 at Southview Hospital.  He was born on  July 10, 1938 to the late Walter and Catherine (Smith) Rickert in Dayton, OH and retired from General Motors Truck and Bus.  Dale was a member of the Farmersville F&AM, York Rite Valley of Dayton, and the Beagle Club.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Norma Eilerman and his brother Dennis Rickert.  He is survived by his wife Jennifer (Barton) Rickert, sons Duane (Karen) Rickert, Craig (Beth) Rickert, and step son Daron (Natalie) Eckhardt, 2 daughters Sharon (Jeff) Miller, Connie (Keith) Stafford, step daughters Jill (Johnny) Ashworth and Mindy (Scott) Callahan, his brother Gary (Eileen) Rickert, sister Alberta Parker, 23 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 19, 2016 at 10:00am at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St. Germantown, with Pastor Todd Velte officiating.  Interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18 from 5-8pm at the funeral home with Farmersville F&AM Masonic Lodge services beginning at 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dale’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or your charity of choice.
