Walter Stiver

Stiver, Walter E. "Sonny", age 82 of Germantown passed away peacefully on July 24, 2021. He was born in Germantown, OH to the late Walter B. and Neva (Gardner) Stiver, attended Germantown Schools, worked at Atlas Diecast for over 10 years, and as a farmer in the Germantown community. Growing up Sonny was always an active member in 4H, he loved fishing and going to local festivals and fairs whenever time allowed. Sonny loved making his rounds when he went to Farmersville, he'd spend time visiting at Brubaker Grain, and make frequent stops at Sears Hardware or the Village Barber Shop just to say hi or chat and he loved his dog Biggin. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 58 years Flora "Lou" (Azbill) Stiver, great granddaughter Peyton Barnhart, and his brother Danny Stiver. He is survived by his children Jeannie Reese, Wally Stiver, Kelly (Julie) Stiver, Jodi Stiver (Scott Gulley), grandchildren Jennifer (Jake) Linebaugh, Cody Bacher, Sunny Reese, Kristen Reese, Kayla Stiver, Kayle Lister, 10 great grandchildren, his sister Martha Ann Hewitt, brother Don (Tammy) Stiver, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11:00am at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. Burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00am.
