Wanda DeGroat

Wanda P. DeGroat, age 97 of Germantown, OH passed away on August 15, 2023 at Sycamore Hospital. Wanda was born in Jefferson Township to the late Nevin and Ruth (Shell) Peffley and graduated from Jefferson High School. She was a member of Germantown United Methodist Church, retired from Miamisburg Mound and loved spending time with her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" DeGroat, her daughter Dorris Arnett, and son-in-law Ronnie Brown. Wanda is survived by her daughter Lois "Jeannie" Brown, grandchildren Chuck (Debbie) Mowery, Victoria "Vickie" Kinder, Daniel Mowery, Crista Kempisty, Mickie (Angie) Arnett, Tammy (Tom) Bolka, Rodney (Rose) Brown, great-grand children Denver (Myranda) and Tyler (Christina) Mowery, Landon (Sarah) and Danniele Simon (Brandon Scott), Kayden Johnson (Zoey Yockey), Tommy Mowery, Alanna and Devin Kempisty, Kaitlyn and Ashton Arnett, Andrew and Alex Bolka, Zacheria and Jaidyn Brown, and great-great grandchildren Barrett, Oaklyn, Cole, and Flint Mowery, Clayton Mowery, Noah Jordan, Archer Scott, and Knox Simon. The family will receive friends at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown OH on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 10am-12pm. Funeral services will begin at noon with Pastor Gary Wheeler officiating. Wanda will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bill immediately following the service at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Miamisburg.
