Wanda Madewell

Wanda Madewell, age 86 of Carlisle, formerly of Germantown, OH passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on November 5, 2022. She was born in Ronceverte, WV to the late Charles and Virginia (Bland) Mann, graduated from Germantown High School class of 1955, and retired from the Franklin Truck Stop. Wanda loved playing bingo and yahtzee, watching the Reds and scratch off cards but most of all, she loved her family, spending time with them, and having company. Along with her parents Wanda was preceded in death by her grandson William J. Kish, sister Marie Haley, and brothers Thomas "Eddie" Mann and Bill Mann. She is survived by her daughters Cindy (Johnny Murphy) Payne, Sandi Myers (Travis Scearce), Kandis (Mike) Sumpter, grandchildren Bobbie Brown, Holly Marie Brown (Mike O'Callaghan), Becky Sams, Missy Myers, Scotty Myers, Heather Madewell, Amanda (Jose) Figueroa, Mike "Bub" Sumpter, Jacob Sumpter, Dillon Sumpter, 23 great grandchildren, her brother C.B. Mann (Geri Edwards), and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 5-7PM at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 10:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Shannon Wooten officiating, burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.
