Wayne Kesling

Kesling, Wayne E., age 78 of New Lebanon passed away March 10, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Germantown, OH to the late Russel and Nola (Baker) Kesling. After graduating from Germantown High School in 1957 where he received the Kindig Award, he served his country in the US Air Force. Wayne was a self-taught Electrical Engineer and retired from Mound. After his retirement he spent time working at Hyde Park and Schneider Electric. Wayne enjoyed music and in the 1970's he traveled with the Evangelizer's Quartet and he was involved with several music programs, including Germantown Church of God. He was also a charter member of the Springboro Christian Church, and most recently attended Antioch United Methodist Church in Trotwood. Wayne enjoyed friends and family, along with his own graduating class from Germantown he was also friends with many from Tollesboro High School class of 1959 and was the president of organizing the Kesling reunion for many years. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 4 brothers Floyd, Glenn, Clyde, and Frank Kesling, his brothers and sisters-in-law Jimmy and Connie Mason, Roger Mason, and Joyce Mason Leming. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Carol (Mason) Kesling, his daughter Hope Kesling (Matthew) Milthaler, his step-son Terry (Kimi) McCall, his grandchildren Reagan and Harrison Wayne Milthaler and step grandchildren Liz (Bryan) Staley, Miles (Gian) McCall, great grandchildren Dylan, Ben, Audrey Staley, Cruz McCall, and Madyson Howard, his sister Carol Ann (John) Coffman, brothers and sisters in law Billy (Arlene) Mason, Bobby Mason, Larry (Peggy) Mason, Gary (Mary) Mason, Paula Mason, Joyce Kesling, and Judy Kesling, along with numerous extended family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00PM at Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown with Pastor Arnold McConnell officiating, interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
