William DeGroat

DeGroat, William "Bill", age 92 of Germantown passed away March 21, 2018. He was born in Brookville, OH to the late Robert and Edna (Crout) DeGroat and attended Carlisle High School. Bill was a US Navy WWII Veteran, a member of Germantown United Methodist Church, and a lifetime member of the D.A.V.A. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Doris Arnett and his brother Lester DeGroat. Bill is survived by his wife of 71 years, Wanda (Peffly) DeGroat, his daughter Lois "Jeannie" (Ron) Brown, his grandchildren Chuck (Debbie) Mowery, Vickie (Scott) Kinder, Daniel Mowery, Crista Kempisty, Mickie (Angie) Arnett, Tammy (Tom) Bolka, Rodney (Rose) Brown, great-grand children Denver (Myranda) Mowery, Tyler Mowery, Landon Simon, Danniele Simon, Kayden Johnson, Tommy Mowery, Alanna Kempisty, Devin Kempisty, Kaitlyn Arnett, Ashton Arnett, Andrew Bolka, Zacheria Brown, Jaidyn Brown, and great-great grandchildren Barrett Mowery, Oaklyn Mowery, and Noah Jordan. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:00am at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St. Germantown, OH with Pastor Gary Wheeler officiating. Interment immediately following at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:00am.
